Privacy Policy

We designed the app this way intentionally. An app about digital wellness should not itself be a source of data collection. Everything you do in Unplug Sphere — your journal entries, your screen time patterns, your blocking rules, your focus sessions — stays on your iPhone and nowhere else.

We do not collect any personal information. The app stores the following data locally on your device only:

• Journal entries you write
• Focus session history and durations
• App blocking rules you configure
• Your daily screen time goal
• Reward and Penalty balances
• Streak history
• Notification preferences

None of this data is transmitted to us or any third party. It exists only in your device's local storage and, if you opt in, your personal iCloud account.

If you enable iCloud Sync in Settings, your data syncs across your Apple devices using your personal iCloud account. This sync is handled entirely by Apple — Unplug Sphere has no access to your iCloud data and stores nothing on our own servers.

iCloud sync is off by default and entirely optional. You can enable or disable it at any time in Settings.

Unplug Sphere uses Apple's Screen Time framework (FamilyControls and DeviceActivity) to display your usage and block apps. This data is processed entirely on-device by Apple's framework.

When you grant Screen Time permission, iOS gives the app access to usage information to display in the Insights tab. This data never leaves your device and is never sent to us.

Unplug Sphere offers an optional Pro subscription managed through Apple's App Store and RevenueCat. When you subscribe:

• Apple processes your payment — we never see your payment information
• RevenueCat receives a non-identifiable purchase token to verify your subscription status
• No personally identifiable information is shared with RevenueCat

Unplug Sphere sends local notifications only — these are generated on your device and never routed through external servers. Notification types include:

• Screen time goal warnings (80% and 100% of daily goal)
• Streak break alerts
• Reward expiry reminders
• Focus session reminders

You can disable any or all notifications in the app's Settings at any time.

We have no visibility into how you use the app. We don't know how many people use it daily, which features are most popular, or anything about individual user behaviour. This is a deliberate choice.

Unplug Sphere is rated 9+ on the App Store. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. Since we collect no personal data from anyone, there is no data to collect from minors either.

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you are always in full control:

• Delete all app data anytime via Settings → Danger Zone → Delete All Data
• Uninstalling the app removes all local data permanently
• If using iCloud sync, disabling it stops future syncs immediately

There is no account to delete and no server-side data to request removal of, because none exists.

If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above and notify users through an in-app notice. We will never introduce data collection practices without clear advance notice and, where required, your explicit consent.
